GERI

Geri is a rescue dog from England, she is 11 years old, and a collie cross beagle. She loves her new life here in Spain, and she thinks she is the boss of the other animals. Oh well, if it keeps her happy :)

 

CARLOS

Carlos was the first stray dog that came into our lives here in Spain. I remember going out one day and seeing him walking around our "cortijo" looking extremely sad. He was still there when I returned, although hiding in a bush. As I walked towards him, I could hear something thumping on the ground, it was his tail. I took him some food and water, and he followed me home, and that is where he has stayed.

ARTHUR

Arthur is a Spanish Mastin, he came to us with his beautiful sister Blue, at around 14 weeks old, just over a year ago. We thought they were big then! Arthur is an extremely good guard dog, and barks at a lot of things, stars, planes, cats, the moon.... the list is endless. Visitors are more likely to experience the sight of Arthur's tummy as he likes to "throw" himself onto the ground to have his tummy tickled, when he first meets anyone. Arthur and his sister sadly have had their ears and tails cut off when the were tiny, it is an old cruel Spanish tradition, which is, thank goodness, no longer found acceptable.

BLUE

Blue is a Spanish Mastin, she came to us with her handsome brother Arthur, at around 14 weeks old, just over a year ago. We thought they were big then! Blue is not a very good guard dog, she would rather lie around and relax, whilst Arthur is an extremely good guard dog. Blue's favourite pastime is to lie on the ground and have her tummy tickled. Blue and her brother sadly have had their ears and tails cut off when the were tiny, it is an old cruel Spanish tradition, which is, thank goodness, no longer found acceptable.

MILIKO

Miliko the puppy came into our lives only a couple of months ago. We would not have kept him, apart from the fact that we saw he had a dislocated hip. He is a funny little boy, but so sweet, and good natured, and simply loves his new friends here. He is around four months old.

CLASSICAL CASSANDRA

Cassandra is one of the first alpacas we had here is Spain, she came over from her previous home in Devon. She is approximately six years old, and is extremely pretty. She is a fantastic mum, and we have two of her cria's here with us, Sunshine Rafa who is 18 months old and Sunshine Galaxy who is just 3 months old. Cassandra is quite tame and eats out of our hand!

ALHAM VALLEY LILY

What a lovely girl, with a good strong body, sadly she lost a baby recently so we are giving her as much TLC as she will let us. Lily came to us from the West Country and she is five years old.

BERMUDA OF WESSEX

This alpaca is extremely nervous but a huge beautiful girl. Bermuda is approximately eight years old, and came all the way from Australia. Her reputation is well known for being difficult to handle, true, but it is because she is so nervous. We feel she has improved being in a smaller herd, and we just try to reduce her stress as much as possible!

SUNSHINE RAFAEL

Our little Rafa, son of Cassandra came to us at around six months old, and what a delight he is. He has recently moved into a paddock with the "new boys" Eduardo and Marcus and they are having a great time together! Rafa eats out of our hand and is probably our tamest alpaca!

SUNSHINE GALAXY

Galaxy was a first cria born on our farm, what an amazing day that was! He is now approximately four months old. He is still feeding from his mum but is getting stronger and more independent every day. We love to watch him running and skipping round the paddock, plus he is simply like a gorgeous teddy bear!

EDUARDO

Eduardo is far too pretty to be a male! At the moment he is sporting a fabulous fringe. Eduardo has only been with us for about two months, he came from friends in Gaucin, and previous to that he lived in the north of Spain. He is a lovely boy that eats out of our hand already!

MARCUS

Marcus arrived just about 2 months ago to our farm, he like his best friend Eduardo came from friends in Gaucin and he also previously lived in the north of Spain. He is also a lovely boy that eats out of our hand!

SUNSHINE SANTA

Our little Santa was born on Christmas Eve, hence the name.  His mum is Bermuda, a huge girl and a great mum!  He was born slightly earlier than we expected, and we were rather worried about him at first, however he is now thriving, thank goodness!
